Peter V. Yeager is the Founder and Principal of BridgePoint Client Relations. With more than 35 years of experience advising businesses, associations, and public-sector leaders on how to grow influence, advance priorities, and seize new opportunities, he brings a practical, relationship‑driven approach to his work in client management, external relations and communications.
Peter spent 24 years with ETS, most recently serving as an Executive Director in Strategic Partnerships, Government and External Relations. In these roles, he led efforts to secure new business with U.S. government agencies and international ministries, with a particular focus on the Middle East and Central Asia. He played a central role in multi‑year initiatives in Kazakhstan and Oman, helping advance ETS’s global footprint and facilitating new streams of revenue and long‑term work.
Earlier at ETS, Peter spent more than a decade in client relations leadership, first as a Client Relations Director and later as the National Director of Client Relations for teacher licensure programs. He oversaw relationships with more than 40 state clients representing over $50 million in annual revenue and was instrumental in winning new contracts in multiple states. His work strengthened partnerships, improved service delivery, and ensured that critical education programs were aligned with each state’s evolving needs. Before moving into client management, Peter built deep experience in communications and public affairs at ETS in several positions managing media outreach, public relations campaigns and government relations efforts.
Prior to joining ETS, he served in several senior government and communications roles, including Press Secretary to a Member of Congress, Communications Director for two state legislators, and public affairs positions for two trade associations. He also developed training programs and conducted research at Rutgers University’s Center for Government Services and taught political science as an adjunct professor at a local county college.
Peter served eight years as an Intelligence Specialist in the U.S. Navy Reserve and is a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also served as a Member of Council and Deputy Mayor for his community in New Jersey. Peter holds both a bachelor’s degree (with Highest Honors, Phi Beta Kappa) and a master’s degree in political science from Rutgers University and previously held the Accredited in Public Relations (APR) credential from the Public Relations Society of America.
A born and bred Jersey guy, Peter now resides in Ocean Pines, Maryland with his wife Shari but will always remain a suffering New York Mets and Rutgers athletics fan no matter where he lives.
